LEAN BACK

The dynamics of interiors require the perfect interplay between style and comfort. At Studio Gude, we are constantly inspired by the collections Poliform launches - not only as individual pieces of designed furniture, but as an interior concept in particular.

In English, the term “living area” is used as a collective term for what we in Danish simply call ”stuer”. Lifestyle interiors is a term Studio Gude uses to encompass the idea of a home with spaces that match the individual needs we all possesses. A “living area” is a wonderful term for the area where we live and relax. We curl up on the sofa, watch TV, cheer on sports, enjoy a movie, eat snacks, knit, immerse ourselves in books - or in Danish speaking: Hygge!

The launch of the Joan collection from Poliform is a new and modern take on authentic essences of comfort: Pure shapes and minimalist design. Generous padding create an extremely welcoming system which is informal yet elegant - particularly inviting expressions of softness and volumes. Perfectly balanced proportions, enhanced by simple details.

The sofa system creates areas for relaxation and socialising that adapt to different spaces and needs. The system is composed of curved and linear elements, chaise longue configurations, modules with high or low armrests, pouffes and an armchair – generating endless configurations.

The collection is completed by eponymous coffee tables, conceived as sculptural objects to be placed alongside the sofa or as centre-of-the-romm pieces. The purity that shapes the sofa system is echoed in these accessories, with equally essential forms available in various sizes and materials such as steel, wood and lacquer.

The Joan collection is just one of many interpretations of the dimensions of lifestyle interior design that Studio Gude is inspired by. The wonderful thing is that any expression can be created in the overall portfolio from Poliform. Studio Gude takes pride in framing “living areas” that radiate confident elegance and timeless luxury. A space that invites you to slow down. To gather family and friends. To lean back – and stay a little longer.
